Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10 1949) is an American businesswoman, investor, speaker, consultant writer, syndicated columnist, TV personality, author and author. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company shortly after. Corcoran was one of ABC's first Shark investors was a featured guest of every episode of Shark Tank. Corcoran has signed 53 deals in February of 2020. Her biggest deal was her $350,000 investment in Coverplay with a 40% stake. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second child of ten from a working-class Irish Catholic family. Florence, her mother was an errand-taker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father through Corcoran's childhood. The family depended on food delivery services for free from the local grocer. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who would drink sometimes and treated her mother with disrespect. Corcoran was a struggling pupil throughout her schooling. She later discovered that she was dyslexic. Corcoran started high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after she had left her Catholic elementary school. After failing several classes during her freshman year, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School, where she received a grade of D.
